Media Censor Crisis in Post 2021 Afghanistan-Testing Team A

From my point of view media censoring, in one hand, in a long period of time support the Taliban dictatorship government and take as much as possible freedom and human rights of Afghan citizen.
In other hand it can make stronger the base governemt and eradicate the roots of democracy voices.

Censorship is an inappropriate act that is mostly done by government employees. Due to the non-disclosure of government secrets and the prevention of disclosure of illegal activities many media are under pressure to allow the government to carry out their work because they are afraid that their media will not be closed because this year the Taliban has become the ruler of many media in Afghanistan. are closed or in fear of them avoid publishing many functions not censorship but completely avoid publishing them

Violation of human rights and freedom of speech in a society causes censorship in a media. Censorship of the media after 2021 is one of the major problems of the Afghan media and it is one of the main reasons for the media not working in Afghanistan.
Media censorship in Afghanistan poses significant challenges to freedom of expression, democracy, and development. It is essential for the Afghan government and the international community to work together to protect press freedom and ensure that journalists can operate without fear. Only through a free and independent media can Afghanistan move towards a more open, transparent, and inclusive society.

I agree with your point of view, but the question is: do Taliban ever let the media to reflect each and individual events inside Afghanistan? ( even they don’t support any idea but letting people to be informed so they can decide)

Hello to all! Well, very vital and important issues happened in Afghanistan in post 2021, such as restricting the education and work for the country’s female class, restrictions and censorship of the media, lack of access to work and dozens of other cases, the censorship and restrictions of the media are also one of them.
In my opinion, the media reflects the events that are happening, so the governments try to broadcast what they want. In most countries in the world, the media is under the absolute control of the governments.

It is unlikely that the Taliban will allow complete freedom of the media to report on events in Afghanistan. The Taliban’s strict interpretation of Islamic law and their desire to control information and maintain their power make it highly unlikely that they will allow unfettered access to the media. They may allow limited reporting on certain topics or events, but it is likely that they will heavily censor or manipulate the information that is allowed to be disseminated. Ultimately, the Taliban’s priority is to maintain control and limit any potential threats to their power, which includes controlling the flow of information.

Media censorship is one of the restricted rules that the Taliban has imposed on media to hinder thier or prevent the sharing of thier terrorest activities to the World.

In my idea the people can help the medias to increase the accuracy of the news and prevent the media censorship. As nowadays everyone are using social media and differen online platforms. They can record any events and the Taliban’s terrorists activities, then they can report to international medias (those are activating outside of country) or share to social media like twitter and Facebook.

Restrictions have been applied to social media through Facebook and Twitter, which cannot broadcast topics related to the Taliban.

In most of the world, the mass media is controlled by the power of a country and is censored.
In order to reduce media censorship, we must have the power that leads the country with us, and the government should work on freedom of expression.

With the arrival of the Taliban in Kabul in the middle of last summer, the Afghan media faced the most severe repressions, although less than the first period of this group’s rule in the nineties, because no media was allowed to operate in those years. This time, the Taliban has allowed the private and state media to operate, but with great repression and restrictions

Therefore, in such situations, when the governments change completely, even with a lot of difference of opinion, then such cases happen, like what happened in Afghanistan in post 2021.
Now the media and the broadcasting of news and content have also been completely changed by the Taliban government. Especially the publication of political and security news, the activities of the female class in the media, and the free dissemination of people’s opinions.
So it can be said that the media has an important and vital role in the society, just like the education of girls and women.

Another idea is that all local medias can geather thier accurate news and send to international medias for sharing. By this way medias can safe thier accuracy and decreae the sensourship.
Scond the local medias can report thier situation according to media censorship to other medias to be thier voice outside the Afghanistan. Or else media can build a cobtract with international medias to share the accurate news related to Afghanistan, what they can not share inside.

The Afghan government currently has an official organization called the “Media Oversight Council” which is responsible for monitoring media activities in the country. With the approval of the government, this council examines the content of the media and censors it if necessary. Some of the things that are censored in Afghanistan include politics, war, violence, religion, gender, and human rights. In addition, some online media may also be censored due to political and cultural attitudes. In general, censorship in Afghan media still exists, and some audiences and human rights activists see this method as a threat to freedom of expression and democracy in the country.

In the field of positive measures to prevent censorship the media should work independently the government should allow the truth to be expressed people should separate the lies from the facts in the social media put aside fear, and every media should express the truth.

The media is not even allowed to participate in important political and social circles, so how can they gather accurate news?

Freedom of speech is the right of every citizen, but unfortunately, in Afghanistan, this right is not given in the right way, and in order to give an accurate picture of the events, the government should support the freedom of expression, otherwise the international community should support the freedom of expression.

The Taliban’s intelligence has made the working environment for journalists and media tight and scary. Music, entertainment and political programs are not aired on Afghan televisions, and female presenters also appear in front of the camera with a veil.

So, in such situations, the parties who are interested to control the media apply their own regulations.
For example, governments want to publish things that they want. International and national organizations want to publish what they want, and individuals also publish what they want.
therefore the topic getting complex and need more energy to handle it with your favor.
