Media Censor Crisis in Post 2021 Afghanistan-Testing Team C

In my opinion, this is more related to the government policy. if the government acts according to the wishes of the people there is no need for censorship.

In my opinion, the government should look at the media from an independent and neutral point of view.

Considering the progress of humanity, the news of the facts that are happening has a tremendous impact on the quality of life of today’s people. So this is an understandable need of the people.

There is no government that satisfies all needs of the citizens.

Yeah right, because citizens don’t know is it right or wrong.

As much as taliban govern in this country.

I think governments should enact and enforce laws that protect freedom of the press, allowing journalists to report without fear of censorship or persecution. This includes guaranteeing the safety of journalists and providing legal protections for whistleblowers.

But if they do like this , this government will destroy.

Yeah it’s clear because they afraid from spreading their bad records and as we know they are bad

Additionally, social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter have been blocked in some parts of the country, making it difficult for people to share information and communicate with the outside world.

Exactly, the censorship also effected the economic growth; an estimated 153 (local) media companies and radio stations in 20 of Afghanistan’s provinces have ceased operations since the Taliban-takeover. However, it appears that some of the media are still operational, but they seem to (have to) comply with Taliban orders to be able to do so.

Following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan in August 2021, there have been reports of media censorship and restrictions on freedom of speech. The Taliban has reportedly shut down some media outlets and imposed restrictions on journalists, including limiting their access to information and preventing them from reporting on certain topics.

Since the Taliban seized control of Kabul in August 2021, the Afghan media has experienced problems. Outlets have been subjected to onerous restrictions, a downturn in the economy, and a decline in Western backing. Editorial appeasement of the Taliban is on the rise, as is self-censorship. Almost all forms of expression are now prohibited.
