According to the information of this center, after the fall of the republic in the middle of August 2021, almost half of the 600 active media in Afghanistan have stopped their activities due to the restrictions imposed by the Taliban government and economic problems.

Yes, but what is the international community’s policy on supporting the media and allowing them to raise the voices of Afghan citizens?

Exactly and it’s the main reason that media don’t have any freedom.

With the Taliban coming to power in Afghanistan, the media has lost freedom of expression, and especially the domestic media are under the pressure of the Taliban, and the solution to this media crisis, in my opinion, is to broadcast news from outside the country.

This is exactly how people do the very big works and decisions. Until we are not fighting against our fears we will not be able to do anything.

Right . This depends on two situations, one is the international community, which should make conditions difficult for the Taliban, sanction them, immediately cut off money, and cut off diplomatic relations. Secondly now its the time for the people of afghanistan that can by strong will and sincere intention to face the Taliban through peace and war

I do agree with youthe Media censorship is a serious issue that affects the rights to freedom of expression and information and it’s ab big problem that media faced with that.

Do you think it will last long? If yes, what can we do to change the situation?

Don’t you think we lost the time for negotiation? We could only negotiate when the Qatar Peace Talks were on going but now there is not a platform to negotiate nor a government who listen.

To mitigate media censorship in post-2021 Afghanistan, it is recommended to establish a transparent and independent regulatory body to monitor and address instances of censorship. Promoting media literacy and supporting alternative sources of information can also empower citizens to critically evaluate news and hold media outlets accountable. Additionally, international organizations can play a role in advocating for press freedom and providing resources for journalists to report on events accurately and safely.

I agree with you. But, remember fighting costs lives. Who will be willing to fight or stand.

What do you suggest as solution. How can we free the Media again.

Even if they cast the news from outside the country still they will need people to work with them, the journalists and the fixers to work in area the news will not come from the sky to cast them. And of course putting censorship and restrictions on journalists will not allow them to reflect on facts which are going in society.

Unfortunately Yes. we lost the time of negotiating .so what do think if negotiating is not a good point what should we do ?

Exactly i do agree with you . this is the time that we have to do something for our country if we love it .so every nation Every nation has made sacrifices and gone through the difficult paths of freedom and progress, we have to make a decision

Thanks for your nice question, I don’t think so. As we are witness they couldn’t handle this situation they are not professional in this side of media, as soon as possible they may lose their authority.

The first strategy for Media in Afghanistan should work according to Taliban rules because of their safety Furthermore they also should prevent the spread of such news that is against the Taliban.
